Buttock Augmentation in Beverly Hills- Recovery

What Should You Expect During the Recovery Process from Buttock Augmentation in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles?

When patients leave the Plastic Surgery facility to go home, they are usually groggy for about 12 hours or overnight. That is why it is very important to have someone who can assist you with getting around and taking your medications for at least the first 24 hours.

Make sure that you have all your medications, cold drinks, and towels at your bedside.
Most people are nauseated during the first 24-48 hour after Buttock Augmentation. To reduce this, we suggest that you take your nausea pill one hour before taking your pain pills or antibiotics. While it is good to drink plenty of liquids, please refrain from drinking plain water or acidic fruit juices because they will make you more nauseated.

Do not be alarmed when blood-tinged tumescent fluid oozes from the sites of fat harvest or liposuction. This is a normal result of liposuction and usually stops within half a day. The surgeon leaves these tiny incisions exposed so that the liquid spills out, thereby minimizing bruising. You should cover your bed to avoid staining from this fluid. On the other hand there should not be any drainage from the incision where the implant has been placed. If this happens, please inform your doctor.

There will be some swelling and some minimal bruising which dissipates five to eight weeks following surgery. Despite this swelling, you will be smaller than your original size. However, you should wait to buy new clothing until your size has stabilized.

Following liposuction, fat injection, or implant placement, you are placed in a support garment. Do not remove this until your doctor instructs you to do so. We usually have the patient remove their garment and to take a shower after 2 days. The first time that you remove your garment you will feel faint, which is normal. Have someone with you at that time. After your first shower you need to apply Vaseline or heavy lotion all over liposuctioned areas and the buttock skin to elevate the itchiness that is caused by the skin-drying effects of liposuction. This is a good time for you to start massaging the fat injection areas. You should massage these areas softly about three times a days for about six weeks. Sometimes, patients whose skin was not firm and elastic will experience dimpling of the skin. These can be eliminated or minimized by massaging and early exercise. If you have implants don’t get the incision wet until instructed by your surgeon.
For the first two weeks you should sleep on your stomach and not on your back. During this time you should avoid putting direct pressure on your buttock for few minutes at a time. If you have to sit, use a very soft cushion. From week three until six you should also sit on cushions when sitting for prolonged periods.
All surgical areas stay numb for four to eight weeks. Massage will help to desensitize your skin in order to avoid hypersensitivity or skin irritation.
The most important way that a person can contribute to having a great result is by being meticulous about conducting massage.
You need to meticulously clean your buttock implant incision in the shower and then after with alcohol after each bowl movement, or at least once daily for the first two weeks after surgery.
Patients will also feel a bruise-like or muscle cramp-like pain, particularly in the areas where fat was removed, and which will be addressed through a prescription from your surgeon.
Antibiotics are prescribed to reduce the risk of infection.
It is good to ambulate after surgery in order to prevent stagnation of blood in your legs and to reduce the chance of developing blood clots.
Support garments should be worn 24 hours a day for three weeks, and then during the daytime for the next three weeks. This will help to reduce swelling, and to help shrink the skin, and to form the buttock area.

When Can I Resume Work and Exercise?

Most patients can resume normal activities within two weeks after buttock implant placement, or within one week after fat grafting. After this time you can start gentle waking but must refrain from jogging or doing heavy physical activity or exercising until six weeks after surgery. You can do upper body exercising after two weeks. Most patients return to work within a week after fat grafting and after two weeks from buttock implant placement.

How Painful Is Buttock Augmentation?

Usually, fat injection is much less painful that buttock augmentation with implants. Fat injection feels mostly like a bad bruise while implant placement feels like a bad muscle cramp. These pains are manageable with the prescribed medications.

When Can I Resume Sexual Relations?

Fat Injection does not hinder your ability to have sexual relations. However, you should resume sexual activity only as you feel comfortable in doing so. The desire to resume having sex varies from patient to patient. On the other hand, with buttock implant placement you should avoid having any strenuous sex for about six weeks after surgery.

Breast Augmentation Recovery Instructions for Body Builders

I am better now than I have ever been. I may qualify as the best if I win the fitness competition I finally had the guts to enter a few weeks ago. I have pulled no stops these past three months, going on the Atkins diet, hiring a trainer, and now the big one (forgive the play on words): Breast Augmentation in Los Angeles.
Nobody told me there is no established game plan on how to continue training in order to be prepared for an event after having breast augmentation in Beverly Hills, or that the surgery would disable and affect me for quite some time. I found out, for example, that if I was too aggressive with returning to my routine or that if I were to infect my sutures I might permanently injure my health. So I am telling you now: If you think you want or need cosmetic work on your body, do it but do intelligently. Do the research on how it will or will not affect your health, do your research on the institution and the surgeon you choose, and design a comprehensive program in advance of your surgery, to which you will reintroduce your body to a recovery and fitness regimen.
Now it is just five weeks before The Competition. But wait, I can almost hear the gasps.
What? And Why? Did I have to do that? Did I really have to go under the knife in order to compete? Let me state firmly that I did not have the procedure performed for the competition. I did it because I had wanted to improve that part of myself aesthetically for as long as I can remember, and I felt I was mature enough to understand the risks and consequences involved. I was already doing everything else in my power to naturally improve my personal beauty both inward and out, and to maximize the potential of my total body fitness.
However, in today’s fitness and pageantry event environment in order for me to be competitive I knew that realistically, fair, or not, a bigger bust size would improve my chances. More importantly, I knew I needed the boost for my own confidence, making me a more formidable contender. No matter what the judges out there will think, how I feel about myself is tantamount to my success. Before the surgery, I felt just disproportionate enough to feel I always had to overcompensate for it. So, I did something about it.
What is the big hush, hush secret? I am not shy or ashamed to admit I had “Breast Enhancement Surgery.” I am thrilled! I absolutely love what effect it has added to my presence. Now my physique has an edge it did not naturally and could not naturally, because although my symmetry was near perfect, my proportion was not. Before and since my breast enhancement, I searched high and low find information that would best help me continue my fitness-training program and it was near non-existent. You will still find that most women who go for the procedure will deny it, or keep it secret, as though it were something to be ashamed of. Is it that it is an”unnaturally” achieved edge, fear, or just plain embarrassment that encourages silence on the topic of breast augmentation within the fitness world? If so, I’m here to break that silence.
Please be clear, this is not about advocating breast augmentation. This is an effort to stop hiding it and lying about it. This is to encourage forums for fitness experts and fans, performers, and competitors to support each other in the transformation. I am not a medical doctor, a nutritionist, nor am I a physical trainer or therapist. But I have done my research and I went through trial and error through everything I am about to suggest. Every woman must go at her own pace and seek expert advice from qualified professionals. I am just a woman who is passionate about beautiful bodies and who wants to have done her best to achieve one. If you decide on cosmetic surgery, congratulations and best of luck! If not, perhaps you can assist someone who is in the process. There is much more than just the obvious change that occurs, there is a compound evolution that inevitably follows: physically, emotionally, and socially. I am speaking out because I wish I had understood all aspects of physical fitness recovery more clearly. Why must we remain so ill -informed on what to do after breast augmentation surgery?
This article’s purpose is to suggest some practices you can implement when undergoing breast augmentation so that your progress in fitness training is not wasted and your muscles do not begin to atrophy. There’s an incredible deficit of information on how the serious fitness enthusiast can cosmetically improve her body without jeopardizing the work necessary in order to maintain and progress toward a goal that is time specific and maybe the difference between losing or winning a competition you have sacrificed much for.
Following are some tips I hope you will find helpful if you decide to enhance or augment your body during a time when you are committed to a competition.

OPTIMUM STRATEGY FOR BREAST AUGMENTATION FITNESS RECOVERY AND PREPARATION:

Preparation:
Two Weeks Prior To Surgery:
Do begin to take 1000 to 1500 mgs of highly absorbable vitamin C daily, and drink 10-12 8oz glasses of water a day (preferably mineral and/or electrolyte enhanced). If possible, go to a health store and purchase Arnica, a homeopathic remedy for faster healing and trauma recuperation. Make no mistake about it, breast surgery, particularly when performed under the muscle, is traumatic to the body. It must be fortified and prepared to battle infection and to encourage recuperation.
Do as much cardio and toning exercise as you can to build up your fitness level. I suggest cardio at least five times a week for forty to fifty minutes to increase your metabolism rate. Strength training three times a week at your highest intensity is also important, utilizing at least six to eight exercises particularly for shoulders, chest, back, and abs since those will be dangerous to do for a while after surgery.
Do not over work your body. It is important for your immune system to be at the optimum functioning level so that healing will be quicker and more responsive and so that your program will be quicker and easier to resume.

Post-Surgery Recovery:
First Ten Days:
Do commit entirely to the task of healing. Listen to your doctor’s orders! Get eight hours of sleep a night, maintaining an upright semi-reclining position so that the fluids in your upper body begin descend. You will be bloated. This is a natural process of the healing. Do take naps during the day when necessary. Utilize your painkillers. Continue with the Vitamin C and Arnica supplementation.
Do keep your sutures clean, by soaping them with mild-disinfectant soap, and rinsing them immediately. Dry the sutures quickly after showering with a blow dryer, and make sure to keep your bra and bandages on day and night as much as possible.
Do not allow sutures to become saturated with water, lotions, or oils, and don’t apply ointments or lubricants to aid in quicker healing. Instead, try a cold compress two to three times a day to relieve discomfort and swelling. Make sure to use a cloth between your skin and the compress to prevent freezer burn.
Do begin walking the second day after surgery, but keep a slow and easy, steady pace. Keep adding to your distance every day remembering not to swing your arms, keeping torso movement minimal and your intensity low to medium (you do not want more swelling, exacerbation, or sweating into your sutures).

Resuming A Training Regimen:
Two Weeks Post-Surgery:
Do remember to respect your body. After your sutures are out, between ten days and sixteen days after surgery, you can become more active, but start with lower body. Try the stationery bike only 20 to 30 minutes a day only for at a lower to moderate resistance for one week. Add leg lifts, lunges, and controlled squats for rotating set of three at twenty to thirty repetitions a pop. All exercises should be without weights.
Do not exceed thirty minutes of this kind of bodywork. It will exhaust your body and possibly hinder your healing or make your body more vulnerable to injury or infection.
Keep hydrated. Stick to the twelve glasses of water a day.
Diet wisdom is imperative at this stage. Stick to a comprehensive, simple, repetitive low carbohydrate meal plan. The first two or three days after surgery, you may have little to no appetite. Your hunger will return but now you will be sedentary. Include fibrous leafy greens, low-sugar fresh fruits, and white meats in your diet. These will help maintain your weight and accelerate your recovery with nutrition and antioxidant protection.
Do refrain from excessive supplements and/or any diet pill unless you have your doctor’s permission at this time.

Getting Back In the Game:
Six Weeks Post-Surgery:
Do go on a proactive, low carbohydrate, low fat, and high protein diet after you have completed a full month of recovery. Design your menu each day to duplicate the last and the next. For example: Meal One: 16 oz Lite Oatmeal, Meal Two: 3 Egg White & Crabmeat Scramble, Meal Three: 6 ozs Roast Chicken w/4 Asparagus sticks, Meal Four: 1 6oz Protein Shake, Meal Five: 4ozs Grilled Chicken Tenders w/ Asparagus and Tofu Salad, and Meal Six: 1 cup sugar-free Jell-O.
Do not deviate from this menu but for perhaps the errant Atkins Advantage protein bar every other day for your sugar fix. Avoid high-energy drinks unless they are low in sodium (under 10 mgs) and zero cals, 0 carbs, 0 fat and less than 90 grams of caffeine. Caffeine stimulates the low blood sugar level and gives a false feeling of energy, which quickly dissipates. You want to eliminate the cravings and maximize on real energy, which is found in real food, real protein, and real fiber.

I am exactly five weeks out from my competition. I weigh 118 lbs, I have my new bodacious breasts, my abs are like a springboard, and my hips are lean, but I am not done. I must sculpt the gluts, hams, and quads; I want an eight pack, the six is not enough; and my arms must look like art, gently curving lifted biceps, swollen triceps, and shoulders that foreshadow my entrance on stage.
In one week, on the doctor’s say-so, I can resume my previous routine now enhanced and accelerated for hard-core intensity and fast-yielding results. I will eat with the precision and regularity a mechanic lubes and fuels a car. The time is coming again for the sits-ups and the push-ups, the pull-downs and the presses, jumping rope and running stairs. For now, I ride the stationery bike and walk the elliptical, I lunge and squat and I work avidly on my leg lifts. I plan to look back and say I’m a winner and I want that medal to prove it. Oh, and I want the body that shouts, Better!
With best wishes,

Recovery after Rhinoplast or Nose Surgery in Beverly Hills & Los Angeles

Nasal Surgery including Rhinoplasty is performed either under deep sedation or light general anesthesia. Most people don’t remember their experience in the operating room because of the amnesia effects of the sedatives.
After your plastic surgery, you will spend some time in the Recovery Room of the surgical facility.
When you wake up, you will have a cold compress gauze dressing over your nose and eyes and a nasal splint on our nose. Don’t be alarmed if your eyes are covered and you cannot see. There is always a nurse available to assist you. Just ask for anything you need!
Your vision might also be blurry for few ours afer surgery because of the lubricants that were placed on your eyes to keep them from drying during surgery.
Don’t panic even if you can not breathe through your nose. You might either have a nasal packing or have swelling blocked your nasal airway. You will be able to continue to breathe through your nose, just like when you have nasal congestion with the flu.
After you go home you will experience some bloody discharge from your nose for several days. This is normal, unless you are bleeding profusely. Don’t pack your nose, stuff tissue paper in your nose, or stick Q-tips or fingers into your nose. You can cause more injury and bleeding.
You will have much brusing around your eyes which will gradually disipate over the next two weeks.
It is normal to feel dizzy and to get nauseated during the first week of surgery, especially while you are taking narcotics. You can take your nausea medications, and make sure that you take your medications with food.
If you have nasal packing, please carefully follow the instruction for its care and removal provided in the following section.

§ After surgery, the best position for the first two days is to be lying semi-reclined. Elevation of the upper body and head reduces the swelling and aching of the nose.
§ The application of cold packs or frozen peas over your eyes and nose are of the most benefit, especially during the first two to three days.
§ Refrain from staying in hot places or in front of the oven or a heater because it can dry your nose and increase the chance of getting a nose bleed. In addition you can help prevent excessive nasal dryness by usign a humidifier, and applying Vasoline to your nostrils before going to bed and after getting out of the shower. Saline nasal sprays do help moisturize the nose, but because they dry quickly, they are not as effective as applying Vaseline.
§ Take your pain medications routinely because any increase in pain can increase your blood pressure and cause nasal bleeding, more swelling, bruising, and prolonged healing.
§ Take your nausea medications about one hour before taking your antibiotics and pain medication in order to lessen the extent of nausea.
§ There are not dietary restrictions. However, you should refrain from eating greasy or acidic foods to prevent nausea. Make sure to drink adequate fluids so you do not get dehydrated.
§ If you take high blood pressure medication, be sure to continue taking it to reduce the chance of a nosebleed.
§ Do NOT take any aspirin-like products, diet pills, or vitamins until after approved by your doctor.
§ It is good to stay well hydrated, but avoid drinking too much plain water because it can make you more nauseated.
§ Avoid eating greasy or spicy foods for the first three days, and have antacids available if you get an upset stomach.
§ Refrain from smoking for at least two weeks after surgery, because smoking can actually irritate the eyes and prolong your recovery.
§ Do NOT blow your nose forcefully, because this causes nosebleeds. If you are about to sneeze, keep your mouth open, to relieve nasal pressure.
§ Don’t pack your nose, stuff tissue paper in your nose, or stick Q-tips or fingers into your nose. You can cause more injury and bleeding.
§ You should keep your nasal splint dry and intact until removed by your doctor.
§ I encourage you to be mobile and not to be sedentary in order to reduce the chance of forming blood clots in your legs.
§
§ Recovery varies for each patient, as will the timing for resuming exercise and normal physical activities. Although you will probably be able to return to work within a 3-7 days, your cosmetic surgeon will instruct you to avoid heavy physical exertion, including heavy lifting, frequent bending, reaching high over shoulder, and jogging for the first 3-4 weeks.
§ While most of the swelling will go away during the first two months, there is going to be some residual swelling and inflammation for up to one year after surgery depending on the extent of surgery and the way your body heals.
§ You can have sex after one week, as long as you don’t overly exert yourself.
§ You cannot use a public pool, Jacuzzi, or go into the ocean for at least 4 weeks after surgery.
§ Small whitehead-like cysts called Milia can develop on your nose after surgery, which will go away by skin cleansing.
§ Internal nasal sutures are dissolvable and do not have to be removed. If you have external sutures, they will usually be removed in about one week after surgery.
§ You can wear camouflage makeup and concealer after your sutures are removed
§ After returning to work, do no drive or operate machinery if you are taking narcotics.
§
§ If you get a nosebleed don’t panic and follow the instructions provided below.
§ During your first week after your surgery if you have any urgent questions or concerns, please feel free to contact my office, at any time of the day or night.

What is the Recovery Course after Breast Lift or Mastopexy in Beverly Hills?

Mastopexy generally takes between two to four hours, as an outpatient plastic surgery. Afterwards, you will spend some time in the Recovery Room of the surgical facility. When you wake up, you will have gauze dressing over your breasts, and a support bra.
Your cosmetic surgeon will provide you with specific instructions for your recovery, including what medications to take and how to limit your activities.
§ After Breast Lift surgery the best comfortable position for the first 2-3 days is to be lying semi-reclined. Elevation of the upper body and chest reduces the swelling and aching of the breasts.
§ After one week you can sleep on your sides, and after two weeks, on your abdomen.
§ I encourage you to be mobile and not to be sedentary in order to reduce the chance of forming blood clots in your legs.
§ Some women develop back pain or muscle spasm as a result of sleeping propped up. If you experience this put a heating pack on your back and have your family member massage your back.
§ Take your nausea medications about one hour before taking your antibiotics and pain medication in order to lessen the extent of nausea.
§ It is good to stay well hydrated, but avoid drinking too much plain water because it can make you more nauseated.
§ Avoid eating greasy or spicy foods for the first three days, and have anti-acids available if you get an upset stomach.
§ Your gauze dressings will be removed in two days and afterwards you will be able to take a shower and get your breasts wet. After showering, you should blow dry the steri strip paper tapes that cover your incisions so that they don’t come loose. You will be keeping them on for about three weeks.
§ Apply heavy lotion to your breast and abdominal skin away from your wounds to lessen the skin dryness that follows surgery.
§ Recovery varies for each patient, as will the timing for resuming exercise and normal physical activities. Although you will probably be able to return to work within one to two week, your cosmetic surgeon will instruct you to avoid heavy physical exertion, including heavy lifting, frequent bending, reaching high over shoulder, and jogging for the first three to five weeks.
§ Do not wear underwire bras or sport bras for the first several weeks because they tend to cut into your incisions (Inverted-T Mastopexy) and may push your breasts to set in a location too high. Your surgeon will tell you when you can get these bras. The best type of bra to wear during this period is a “sleep-in” bra. If you can’t find them, just get soft bras, and remove the under-wire.
§ Be aware that your menstrual cycle may be altered for a month or two, but should return to normal.
§ You can not get nipple or breast piercing, tattoos, or tan for at least six weeks after your surgery.
§ You can have sex after one week, as long as you don’t overly exert yourself, and keep your incision clean and dry for up to 3-4 weeks.
§ Be aware of doors when opening them. Often times, I hear women complain that after surgery they accidentally hit their breasts against them because they were not aware of the change in their body shape.
§ You can not use a public pool, Jacuzzi, or go into the ocean for at least 4 weeks after surgery.

Recovery after breast reduction in Beverly Hills & Los Angeles

Breast Reduction surgery generally takes between four to six hours, as an outpatient surgery. Afterwards, you will spend some time in the Recovery Room of the surgical facility. When you wake up, you will have gauze dressing over your breasts, and a support bra. You will also have drains that leave the skin at the outer sides of your breasts. The nurse and/or the doctor will give you and your family drain-care instructions.
Do not be alarmed if you feel discomfort from bruising and swelling. This is a normal result of the surgery, particularly for the first 48 hours. Your cosmetic surgeon will prescribe medications to relieve this discomfort.

At your first office visit following surgery, the bandages or surgical bra will be replaced with a softer support bra, which you will wear all of the time, day and night, for three to four weeks. These will help your breasts to retain their new shape.

There would be no sutures to be removed. The Steristrips that are applied to your incisions will either fall off in about three week or you can gently remove them by then.

Your cosmetic surgeon will provide you with specific instructions for your recovery, including what medications to take and how to limit your activities.
§ After surgery the best comfortable position for the first 2-3 days is to be lying semi-reclined. Elevation of the upper body and chest reduces the swelling and aching of the breasts.

§ Apply heavy lotion to your breast and abdominal skin away from your wounds to lessen the skin dryness that follows surgery.
§ Keep your drains in a position where they may not get caught and be accidentally removed. Keep a log of how much fluid is drained, twice daily. Usually, when the total volume of drainages subsides to less than 30 ccs per day, the drains will be removed by the nurse or the doctor.
§ Recovery varies for each patient, as will the timing for resuming exercise and normal physical activities. Although you will probably be able to return to work within two to four weeks, your cosmetic surgeon will instruct you to avoid heavy physical exertion, including heavy lifting, frequent bending, reaching high over shoulder, and jogging for the first five to eight weeks.
§ Do not wear underwire bras or sport bras for the first several weeks because they tend to cut into your incisions in the Inframammary fold and may push your breasts to set in a location too high. Your surgeon will tell you when you can get these bras. The best type of bra to wear during this period is a “sleep-in” bra. If you can’t find them, just get soft bras, and remove the underwire.

Recovery after Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty in Beverly Hills

Does Blepharoplasty Affect My Permanent Eyeliner?

No, Neither lower eyelid or upper eyelid Blepharoplasty incision is going to remove or alter your permanent eyeliner tattoo.

How soon after eyelid surgery can I have Permanent Eyeliner?

In general, I suggest that you wait until all the swelling and inflammation of the eyelids have subsided, which takes approximately 6-10 weeks. Otherwise, your eyeliner can run or smudge.

Will I Notice a Different Right Away?

Your eyelids and/or your face will look bruised, swollen, and even gruesome for about a week but this will pass. The incisions may look raised, somewhat red, and tender and itchy for several weeks after surgery as they heal. This can take up to six to twelve months. During the early phase of healing when your eyelids are swollen they might appear uneven and different. This is because eyes heal and recover at different rates which can take up to five to ten months to resolve. During this period you can also experience tightness of eyes and dryness which can be addressed with eye lubricants.
As with any surgery, you will need time to heal. This is particularly true of this delicate part of your face.
Although you would be presentable with some makeup at two to three weeks, in most cases, it takes five to ten months for the eyes to reach their final shape and form.

How Long Will the Improvement Last?

For most patients, the improvement is long-lasting, and needs to be performed only once. But depending on how you age or extraneous factors such as sun damage, massive weight loss, and smoking you might need to undergo touch-up procedures later.

Can Eyelid Surgery Make Me Look Worse?

In patients who have very low sagging brows, Blepharoplasty that is performed too aggressively may worsen, rather than improve, the appearance; unless the brows are also elevated (Brow Lift).

At the California Center for Plastic Surgery Dr. Younai will review your treatment options for Eyelid Surgery- Blepharoplasty, including pros and cons of each procedure, potential risks and complications, recovery course, pre and post operative instructions, and esthetic outcomes. There are also many before-and-after pictures and high resolution images of Facial Plastic and Eyelid Surgery available in our photo gallery.

Financing Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills

There are several reasons why people now can afford the cost of plastic surgery procedures, including:
1. Availability of Financing for Cosmetic Surgery - In the old days, no financial company would loan money without collateral, especially if it was for cosmetic surgery. Now, some of the major financial institutions are marketing primarily to the plastic surgery crowd. They realize that those with a steady income can make payments for cosmetic surgery, just as if they were making it for a new car. In fact, some loan companies are becoming even more creative. They are willing to give patients a cosmetic surgery home equity loan, with the payments added to patient's monthly mortgage payment.
2. Cost of Cosmetic Surgery - Whether it is because the relative cost of cosmetic surgery procedures has come down or that the price of most other things have gone up, the prices of plastic surgery procedures are now within people's spending budget.
3. Plastic Surgeons Offer Financing - While it used to be that one had to pay cash for plastic surgery, now plastic surgeons accept credit card payments, financing, or even offer cosmetic surgery savings plans.

Recovery after Breast Augmentation with Breast Implants

Breast augmentation is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Breast enlargement involves insertion of a Saline or Silicone Breast Implant under the Pectoralis chest muscle. The pain associated with breast augmentation is due to the stretching of the Pectoralis muscle by the underlying breast implant. Most women describe heavy pressure over their chests. Because of this moving the arms, especially above the shoulders is uncomfortable for two weeks. Most women take off one week from work after breast augmentation. You can do lower body exercises in one week and should refrain from lifting heavy objects for the first 2-3 weeks. Likewise, I don’t recommend driving for one week. You may have sex at any time as long that your breasts don’t get manipulated for the first 5 weeks. There are no travel restrictions as long as you don’t get your breasts wet in a public pool or a Jacuzzi for 4 weeks.
Usually, augmentopexy, or breast lift plus augmentation, is more painful than just breast augmentation, and the recover is the same.

Recovery After Liposuction in Beverly Hills

Liposuction is a relatively easy procedure to recover from, mainly because there are no large incisions, and the surgery is superficial. Liposuction can be performed on the neck/face, arms, chest, breasts, abdomen, back, buttocks, thighs, knees, calves, and ankles. The pain and recovery time of liposuction is similar to that of a bad muscle bruise sustained during a motor vehicle accident. Most patients take a week or less of recovery before returning to work after liposuction. There are no restrictions with respect to exercise and you may return to your exercise routine as you feel comfortable. Likewise, there are no restrictions with lifting, pushing, pulling or taking care of young children; although, most people can not do strenuous house work for about 4 days. Most patients are able to drive within a week; however this also depends on the areas of liposuction. For example, it is harder to steer if you had liposuction of the arms. When it comes to sex there is no restrictions as long a you are comfortable!
Especially in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, most patients are eager to know when they can wear that especial outfit for that special party or event. After liposuction you will be wearing a girdle for about six weeks. Despite this, most of your regular cloths should fit comfortably over it. After the first three weeks, if you are planning to wear revealing cloths or dresses, you don’t have to wear your girdle during that time. Finally, there are no travel restrictions.

Tummy Tuck Recovery in Beverly Hills

Tummy tuck, abdominoplasty, or body lift, involves removing the hanging abdominal skin fold, along with tightening the abdominal muscles. The pain and recover of a tummy tuck is similar to that of a c-section or hysterectomy. Most women in Los Angeles or Beverly Hills take about two weeks for recovery before returning to work. Because of tightening of the abdominal muscles patients can not do any heavy lifting or straining at home, work, or the Gym for about eight weeks. You can do power walking or bicycling in 2-3 weeks. You can also have sex in 2-3 weeks as long as you don’t strain your abdominal muscles for 6-8 weeks. Most cloths or pants will be somewhat tight around the waist for about 4-6 weeks due to the normal post-operative swelling. There are no travel restrictions as long as you don’t use a public pool or Jacuzzi for three weeks.
